WealthTrust Securities Limited (WTS) is a Primary Dealer appointed by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka in terms of the Local Treasury Bills Ordinance No. 8 of 1923 and the Registered Stock and Securities Ordinance No. 7 of 1937. As a Primary Dealer, we act as a specialized intermediary in the government securities market and form an integral part of the financial system and economy.

WTS is currently one of the largest capitalized non-bank Primary Dealers, with reserves exceeding LKR 2.60 Billion as per audited Financial Statements for the year ended 31st March 2019 and a Net Asset per Ordinary Share of LKR 79.39.

WTS has as its single largest shareholder, SBI Holdings Inc, a listed Japanese conglomerate with a stake of 20.00%, a transaction that was announced on the Tokyo Stock Exchange on September 21st 2017. SBI Holdings Inc, specializes in Financial Services, Asset Management, Fin Tech / Venture Capital and Biotech, with a global presence. Our other large shareholders consist of Finco Holdings (Pvt) Ltd and Sierra Holdings (Pvt) Ltd.

Products & Services

The Public Debt Department of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) on behalf of the Government of Sri Lanka issues Government Securities (GSEC) and Sri Lanka Development Bonds (SLDB) ) in order to fund the Government’s budget deficit. GSEC’s include Treasury Bills (T-bills) and Treasury Bonds (T-bonds). In addition, WTS is a Dealer/Broker for Debt securities at the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) licensed by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) of Sri Lanka.
